Indianapolis Plays in Championship Game @ Great American Ball Park

Pat Gedig bangs out one of several hits he collected over the weekend for the Junior baseball team, as Jaylen Quarles heads for home. Indy head coach Steve Thais is coaching third base. Indy jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead in the first inning.

First baseman Adam Dowbnia holds this Cleveland runner close to the bag, as Seth Hoffman prepares for the pitch.

Jarred Ison takes his lead against Cleveland, as first base coach Scott King looks on.

The sad, but true tale...

The Indianapolis Junior Baseball team took it to Cleveland in the championship, but fell short in extra innings 7-4.

This was without a doubt the best run tournament Indianapolis has participated in since we became affiliated with RBI in 1997. Thank you Cincinnati for a great time!!!

What a great experience, indeed, I would like to thank all those who made this opportunity possible. The sponsors for their financial support, the coaches for their time, the parents for their love of the game and support of their children, and most of all the players who gave their all. It was the best baseball game I have seen in years. You boys did a great job representing Indy and yourselves as well. To watch you play on the Red's field was an opportunity of a life time. Enjoy the off season, hope to see you next year.
